- Political Affiliation: Independent
- Education: High School Diploma, some college
- DOB: 7/30/79

- Known Parahuman Abilities: Andrea Mitchell makes friends with everyone she meets. Everyone hears everything she says as if she was speaking their native language, and she likewise hears everything they say as English. They remember their encounter with her so positively that they’re willing to do reasonable favors for her even years after their meeting. In essence, Mitchell has friends and contacts pretty much everywhere. Needless to say, she does a lot of traveling on Section 2’s dime.
Andrea Mitchell has always been friendly, and people have always seemed to like her. Her Talent manifested, however, when she took a “break” from college to backpack around the world with friends. She had never really been exposed to foreign cultures before, having grown up very sheltered in a conservative, rural town. This trip abroad caused a mental and spiritual “awakening” within her. She was addicted to travel and never went back to college.
She found it interesting how many English speakers she encountered in some of her more far-flung travels until her companions, confused and awed, informed her that they weren’t speaking English. This was her first clue that perhaps she might be a Talent. When military Talents in Kyrgyzstan swooped down upon her and her companions, “arresting” them for unknown reasons, it became altogether more clear.
The Kyrgyzstani Talent agents, however, found it very difficult to co-opt or break Mitchell’s cheerful demeanor. In fact, they found themselves liking their prisoner a bit too much. In the meantime, political pressure from her family back home, as well as support from a curiously broad range of bare acquaintances, forced her release. Section 2 took an immediate interest and recruited her shortly thereafter.
Mitchell is an Operator for Operations teams not because of any particular skill with computers or data management, but rather because she can make a phone call to most countries in the world and have local backup and support available at a moment’s notice.
Mitchell was dating a fellow Operative, George Faerlin, for many years until he was killed in action shortly after the Battle of Jerusalem. She is still recovering, and is occasionally prone to fits of uncharacteristic melancholy.
