The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith

  • Classification: Government Entity
  • Affiliation: The Vatican
  • Location: The Vatican and affiliated Church properties.
  • Talent Resources: 27 core members, undetermined additional loosely affiliated resources

The Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith is a bureaucratic and ecclesiastical entity of the Vatican and the Roman Catholic church charged with maintaining doctrinal purity. The Congregation itself is not a Talent organization per se, but the church under John Paul II took great pains to consolidate their most powerful Talent clergy into this body. John Paul II’s replacement, Pope Benedict XVI, the first Talent Pope, was drawn from this body. Benedict XVI’s election has consolidated the power of Catholic Talents within the church as well as ensuring a conservative ideology building on the ideas and theology of his predecessor.

The Talent priests of the Congregation are credited with preventing the destruction of the Vatican even though Rome itself was destroyed by a nuclear strike in Yama’s apocalypse.

The Vatican’s unofficial secret Talent security forces are all priests assigned to the Congregation. While there are literally thousands of Talents in the world who claim Roman Catholicism as their religion, only those Talents who are also priests, and who furthermore espouse a conservative interpretation of the church’s theology are accepted.
